About Our Lesson horses

Cody is a 2001 American Paint Horse. He is a horse that can truly do it all, from cross country jumping to teaching a child how to post the trot. Cody was the first Lear Stables lesson horse, and continues to be a valued member of the herd. He began his Eventing career later in life, and really loves what he does.
American Paint
Liebchen is a 1987 Hanoverian Thoroughbred mare. Don’t let this lovely lady’s age fool you, Libby is still a 10 mover with the ability to do crossrail courses and low level dressage. She entertains us with her headstrong attitude, strong opinions, and her kind, forgiving nature under saddle. We are truly lucky to have this special horse in her golden years.
Hanoverian TB
Achilles is a 2001 welsh cob/thoroughbred cross gelding. Achilles is a talented and bold jumper who is also able to teach riders about having good hands and riding from the seat and legs. He is for our intermediate and advanced riders, although he also loves a leisurely trail ride.
Welsh Cob TB
Rosie is a 1993 AQHA mare who has western pleasure roots! She switched to exclusively English riding in her senior years, and is a smooth, comfortable ride that has taught many kids how to canter. Although she is a senior, Rosie comes alive on a jump course! Rosie is sweet and gentle, and loves small children and adults alike. Rosie is definitely a fan favorite.
Lilly is a 2003 Percheron Thoroughbred mare. She is a gentle giant with a lengthy eventing background. Her owner is leasing her to our program so that she can teach up-and-coming riders the basics. This mare can do it all, and rides surprisingly light for being a full figured girl.
Percheron TB
Timber is a 2009 thoroughbred gelding. He is a talented and scopey horse best suited for our intermediate and advanced riders. Timber is a wonderful asset to our herd to help serious riders move up to the next level.
Rufus is a senior citizen, measuring 12 hands high. We don’t know much about Rufus but we estimate that he is a welsh cross that may be as old as 40. Rufus is a plucky little pony who is never afraid to express his opinion! He loves his lead line riders, but can still get going over some crossrails when he puts his mind to it.
